NHS CareerMate is a structured preparation platform for candidates applying to NHS roles in the United Kingdom. It provides step-by-step application guidance, an interview simulator, and information about the Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) process for internationally-trained healthcare professionals.
The platform is designed for both internationally-trained candidates who require employer sponsorship and UK-based candidates navigating the NHS application process for the first time.
Our principles
NHS CareerMate is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NHS, NHS England, or any government body. We are a private preparation platform.
We do not recruit, place, or refer candidates to employers. We do not sell jobs, visas, or immigration advice. We do not act as a sponsor.
Our guidance is derived from publicly available NHS person specifications and interview frameworks — the same criteria hiring panels use to score candidates.
What we do
- Provide a master application guide covering each stage of the NHS hiring process.
- Offer an AI-powered interview simulator that generates questions based on NHS person specifications and scores responses.
- Publish CoS information to help internationally-trained candidates understand what sponsorship is, how it works, and what to expect — without providing immigration legal advice.
- Give candidates a statement builder to draft and refine their application responses against published criteria.
